I got Roped into it

So yesterday I spent trying to learn a little Hindi...actually trying to learn Hindi worship songs that I couldn't (nor could my friends that actually knew the songs) pick out the chords to.

Part of me struggles with this because I kinda hate drawing attention to myself. (Way to go and live in a place where NOONE looks like you, Steph....I know I know). So I don't really want to get up in front of the 40 or so people on Sunday mornings and lead. I have such a fear of failing....or trying to be better than I actually am.

But this morning, I prayed, "Jesus, please use me however you need me. Let this nervousness, this struggle inside of me go away because I do want to praise your name and help others do it too."

That doesn't mean I'm not still scared to get in front of people to lead, but it means that I'm submitting to the Lord and letting my gifts (even if they are feable) be used to glorify Him.

Plus, read the lyrics of one of the songs I get to play. This gets me excited. Everything else will follow.
Verse 1
Jis Naam me hai mukti

Jesus name is liberation

Jis Naam me hai Shakti
Jesus name is power

Jis Naam me hai Shanti

Jesus name is peace

Deta voh Naam Changai (2x)

That name Is to be worshipped

Jis Naam me hai zindagi

In this name is life

Yeshu hai vo Naam
Jesus is that name

Jis Naam me hai bandagi
Pray to Jesus' Name

Yeshu hai vo Naam

Jesus is that name

Verse 2

Bimari se, garibi se
 Shrapon se he chudatha

He delivers from Sickness, Poverty, Curses

Vo naam he jo andhon ko

Raushni bhi he deta (2x)

The Name That Gives Sight To The Blind
Jesus Is That Name

Jis Naam me hai zindagi

Yeshu hai vo Naam

Jis Naam me hai bandagi

Yeshu hai vo Naam

Chorus

Yeshu tera Naam sabse ooncha hai(4x)
Jesus your name is greater than any other name

I love that this is a song that I get to know in 2 languages!

Go here to hear a band playing this song.

James 1:27

Religion that God our Father accepts as pure and faultless is this: to look after orphans and widows in their distress and to keep oneself from being polluted by the world.
